liam hemsworth hunger games cast gale hawthorne Liam Hemsworth is Whos Sexiest People for 2011! Liam1This year’s issue of WHO’s Sexiest People for 2011 includes Liam Hemsworth, seen here as one of the cover models! WHO asks what the “sexiest” date he has ever been on:

Hemsworth reveals he and Cyrus get excited by an obscure steak and milkshake joint in Tennessee.

“There’s this place in Nashville called Steak and Shake, which is pretty much the best food ever,” he says.

“It’s mine and my girlfriend’s favourite place to go. That’s our secret, sexy place to go.

“When I look over and there is some steak sauce dripping down her chin, there is nothing sexier than that.”

Definitely not surprised he made this list!

Liam Hemsworth Talks About ‘The Hunger Games’ and Working with Jennifer Lawrence

Here Liam talks about reading the books for the first time, the filming of the movie and his beautiful co-star Jennifer! Here is a bit of that interview:

Krista Smith: Did you read the books before you knew it was going to be a movie?

Liam Hemsworth: I feel like the books were just written like a movie. You read it and you can just kind of see everything. … [R]ight before I went in to read with the director, I read the first book and I loved it. I didn’t realize how good the writing was. And then I went in and read with [director] Gary Ross, and that was it.

When you were reading it, was there a certain part you identified with?

Oh yeah, it was always for Gale. It was always for Gale. I read the script, and Gale definitely felt more right than Peeta.

What sort of stuff did you identify with, with Gale?

What I thought was really interesting was—and it’s one of the hardest things to think about: one of your best friends, or someone in your family, basically going off to war. And that’s kind of what happens to Gale in the first book. As much as he’s against the government and wants to stand up to them, he really is helpless. He can’t do anything about it. … I just thought it was such a gut-wrenching kind of thought.

And how was the physical stuff?

In this one, for me, it was more about losing weight. He’s a pretty poor person.

Right, you’re starving!

Everyone’s pretty hungry, so I wanted to look a little hungry. [M]y brother said to me before I started shooting—he texted me and said something about me putting on weight. But basically his point was that it was called Hunger Games, not Eating Games. That was a wake-up call. I was like, Are you calling me fat or something?

And how was working with Jennifer Lawrence and Gary Ross?

Jennifer was great. She is fantastic. Really easy to work with, no drama, really down-to-earth, such a funny girl. Nothing but good things to say about her. She really was great to work with. And it always makes it easier when you’re working with people that you like and you enjoy being around.

Gary Ross is amazing. He’s just—he always has a billion ideas of what he wants, but has a very clear perspective also; he just makes it work. He really does. He’s trying different things and making everything look amazing.

Liam Hemsworth Up for Role in Film Adaptation of ‘The Host’

Liam Hemsworth Up for Role in Film Adaptation of ‘The Host’

liam hemsworth hunger games news hunger games cast gale hawthorne Liam Hemsworth Up for Role in Film Adaptation of The Host the host book cover 300x464Liam Hemsworth, who portrays Gale in The Hunger Games, is up for the role of Jared in The Host. If you have not heard of The Host it is another novel written by Stephenie Meyer, who wrote the Twilight trilogy. There are other actors testing for this role, but it would be great to see Liam in a movie based off of a Stephenie Meyer novel! Here is the synopsis of The Host from Amazon:

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of human hosts while leaving their bodies intact. Wanderer, the invading “soul” who has been given Melanie’s body, didn’t expect to find its former tenant refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

As Melanie fills Wanderer’s thoughts with visions of Jared, a human who still lives in hiding, Wanderer begins to yearn for a man she’s never met. Reluctant allies, Wanderer and Melanie set off to search for the man they both love.

Featuring one of the most unusual love triangles in literature, THE HOST is a riveting and unforgettable novel about the persistence of love and the essence of what it means to be human.
