Amandla Stenberg Talks to ‘E Online’ About ‘The Hunger Games’ – Possible Spoiler
E Online caught up with Amandla (Rue) on the red carpet, for the Breaking Dawn premiere, and talked to her about The Hunger Games, in particular the filming of her death scene.
“Oh, it’s a very tragic scene, but it was actually really fun to do, because I had a lot of fun with Jen [Jennifer Lawrence]…I think my death was actually pretty fun.”
“Jen is fantastic, and she’s super funny, so I had so much fun with her,” Amandla giggled.

Jackie Emerson and Amandla Stenberg Attend ‘Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ Premiere
Tonight is the premiere of the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in LA and Jackie Emerson (Foxface) and Amandla Stenberg (Rue) of The Hunger Games were in attendance! During MTV’s live streaming they caught up with Jackie and Amandla and this is what they had to say:
About Jackie: And now onto “The Hunger Games.” We’ve got Foxface (a.k.a. Jacqueline Emerson). She saw the awesome trailer for the first time today, too! She loved how real everything looks. She says she was a “huge” fan before auditioning. She adds that Jennifer is “the most talented actress she’s ever seen.” That’s some high praise, y’all.
About Amandla: Aw, Amandla Stenberg is here. You may also know her as Rue from “The Hunger Games.” She wants to meet the “Twilight” triangle. Adorbs.

Her role: Katniss Everdeen, District 12 tribute—the protagonist and narrator, Katniss took her sister Prim’s place in the Hunger Games, and is known for her fiery temper and strong archery skills. After her father passed away in a mine explosion, Katniss became the provider and nurturer for her family. She’s also caught in a love triangle between Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Gale (Liam Hemsworth).
On landing the part:“I auditioned, which was a long process and a lot of improv. And then waited a month or something, where I was convinced I didn’t have it—then I got the phone call while I was in London. I was then terrified. I knew it was going to be huge, and that’s scary. I called my mom. She said, ‘This is a script that you love, and you’re thinking about not doing it because of the size of it?’ And I [didn’t] want to not do something because I’m scared, so I said yes. And I’m so happy that I did.”

The Hunger Games Cast in Halloween Costumes – Let’s See Yours!
With yesterday being Halloween a few of The Hunger Games cast posted pictures of themselves all dressed up for Halloween! Amandla Stenberg, Rue, was a vampire (in honor of her favorite band ‘Vampire Weekend’), Jacqueline Emerson, who plays Foxface, was very creative as Zombie Cinderella, and Kalia Prescott, District 3 tribute, was Justin Bieber!
