‘Hunger Games’ Stars To Appear at Walmart’s Midnight DVD Release Parties!
Walmart has announced some of the Hunger Games stars to appear at the Walmart Midnight DVD Release Party for The Hunger Games on Friday night August 17th at selected Walmart locations!
To pay tribute to The Hungers Games DVD release on Saturday, Walmart is offering exclusive, early access to The Hunger Games fans so they can be among the first to own their special edition DVD.
Here’s what The Hunger Games fans will find at their local Walmart starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, August 17:
- · District Parties featuring special giveaways, movie trivia and the opportunity to win exclusive The Hunger Gamesprizes
- · Fans who purchase the DVD at midnight will receive a special pack of collectible The Hunger Games trading cards, while supplies last. A select number of random packs will include an autographed card from one of the cast members.
- · Customers who prefer to pre-order The Hunger Games 2-disc Blu-ray or DVD online at Walmart.com prior to the movie’s release on August 18 will have a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles to attend The Hunger Games: Catching Fire premiere or other exclusive prizes.
- · In select stores, fans will have the opportunity to meet the following cast members:
o Glimmer (Leven Rambin) in Dallas, TX
o Cato (Alexander Ludwig) in Miami, FL
o Primrose Everdeen (Willow Shields) in Phoenix, AZ
o Thresh (Dayo Okeniyi) in Santa Clarita, CA
o Atlanta, GA, TBD

First Look at 4 New Hunger Games Action Figures with Cato and Rue!
NECA is adding four new action figures to the current trio of Katniss, Gale and Peeta.
The new additions include Rue and Cato in arena gear as well as new versions of Katniss and Peeta in training clothes.
The four new figures are due in August.

Wes Bentley & Alexander Ludwig In VMAN Magazine!
Wes Bentley (aka Seneca Crane)and Alexander Ludwig (aka Cato) are in the newest edition of VMAN Magazine which hit shelves today!
JustJaredJr has an excerpt from Alexander’s interview, giving details as to what Alexander did to prepare for the filing of the Hunger Games -
“For The Hunger Games, I needed to get jacked, so I ate like a caveman and lighted heavy weights almost every day,” Alexander shared. “To gain muscle, dieting is just as important as the actual working out, if not more so. I also wanted to keep an eight-pack so I had to bike a lot and do a ridiculous amount of sit-ups.”
Rue & Foxface Hid Cato’s Clothes During Filming
Alexander Ludwig, who plays Cato, tells a hilarious story of an on-set prank Amandla Stenberg (Rue) and Jackie Emerson (Foxface) played on him-
I was totally sweaty and exhausted after a day of fighting, and I walked into my trailer. I’d already taken off my costume, so I was just in my briefs, and I couldn’t find my clothes anywhere! Amandla, who plays Rue, and Jackie, who plays Foxface, had hidden them in the fridge.
