Official “The Hunger Games: Girl on Fire” Game Announced for iPad/iPhone

Lionsgate and the team behind the excellent iPhone games Canabalt and Gravity Hook have announced an official game for iOS titled “The Hunger Games: Girl on Fire.”

This game follows Katniss as she is swarmed by tracker jackers in the forest. If the game is anything like Canabalt, you’ll tap the screen to avoid obstacles as you run in a never-ending  side-scroller.

The only image so far is the title screen, which suggests a retro pixellated style similar to Canabalt. Are you excited to play this on your iPad/iPhone?

UPDATE: Won’t be like Cananbalt. From the creator’s blog:

“ It does feature a running character, but the focus of the game is more on marksmanship and strategy.”
