Hunger Games Sweden’s Exclusive Interview With Amandla Stenberg (Rue)!
Hunger Games Sweden has an exclusive interview with newly cast Amandla Stenberg (aka Rue). In the interview Amandla discusses her delight on being a part of the Hunger Games and how big of a fan she is of the series. FYI — if you have not read the books, this interview may be a little bit spoiler-y for you!
I am so excited to be playing Rue in THE HUNGER GAMES. Because I was already a fan of the books – I’ve read the first one five times – the audition process was really exciting. I’m looking forward to working Gary Ross and the rest of the HUNGER GAMES cast and crew. And I just know that meeting Suzanne Collins will be a real thrill. I read an interview in which she said that she’s planning to be on set when Rue dies. OMG!!!
Amandla seems genuine and completely elated to be a part of the Hunger Games movie! And we are extremely excited that she has been cast as Rue!
