Hunger Games Book Cover: How the Iconic Illustration Was Made

Tim O’Brien is the illustrator behind the cover of the Hunger Games. His blog details the creative process he went through to come up with the final design as seen on the cover of the book and recently set on fire for the Hunger Games poster.
It’s hard to imagine today, but the now-famous cover and logo art of a mockingjay was at first on a brown background and attached to a chain.
Be sure to also check out Tim’s full portfolio which includes some instantly recognizable Time magazine covers over at his website.
