The Shelby Star has a new article explaining not only does Lionsgate have security on location for the duration of filming in Shelby, that some security detail may remain in the area after filming has ceased -
SHELBY – ‘Hunger Games’ filming appears to be ending soon in Shelby but security could be on hand longer than that at the P&M Warehouse.
Shelby Police Officer Scott Champion, who oversees off-duty officers helping with security, said he heard additional security guards hired by Lionsgate would remain on the set for some time after filming ends.
A person working on the set that would be familiar with security said he had been told the same and that the timeframe could be as long as months.
“I cannot comment on that,” said the film’s publicist Will Casey.
