Here’s a brand new clip from The Hunger Games of Katniss getting the attention of the Capitol in a big way.

The scene is awesome! “Who ordered this pig?”

Suddenly I am furious, that with my life on the line, they don’t even have the decency to pay attention to me. That I’m being upstaged by a dead pig. My heart starts to pound, I can feel my face burning. Without thinking, I pull an arrow from my quiver and send it straight at the Gamemakers’ table. I hear shouts of alarm as people stumble back. The arrow skewers the apple in the pig’s mouth and pins it to the wall behind it. Everyone stares at me in disbelief.

That was absolutely brilliant I would have thought she would shoot more than one arrow around before she shoots the pig though.. Still looks fantastic, each day I just get more and more excited and I trawl this site and the web multiple times a day for more news!

Another awesome video I found today was the Yes/No that Jennifer and Josh did on MTV, I managed to find a copy on Tumblr that us non-US residents can watch. It is just hilarious!

I hope that she did shoot more than the one…in the book it said it took her a few shots to get the hang of the better quality bow…and as amazing as it was you know its not the full scene they still cut it down…there giving us just enough “food” (scenes/clips/awesomeness) for us not to starve but not enough for us to be fully satisfied. We are all just tributes in this silly little game the Capitol (Lionsgate) plays.

Very, very well put and you are absolutely right. I loved in the book how she shoots down the punching bag, lights etc

RE the food thing, all I can think of now is Katniss saying its going to be one of those “hollow” days

My favorite part is at about 0:30 because she gets this look on her face like she is really pissed and then she just lets the arrow fly, and the apple sticks into the wall. SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!!

They need to make an “R” version, and then edit it back to PG. When I purchase the blu-ray, I want the unedited “R” version. The movie industry keeps watering down the quality of books like HG and HP to gain more revenue. They would get even more revenue is they would make both versions.

Wish I had waited until the 23rd, but screw it, that scene is so awesome I’m going to end up — that replay button. I just wish I could shoot that well. If that were me, I might end up injuring a Gamemaker!

This is brilliant! Exactly how I imagined it. I really get the feeling Jennifer is going to be perfect as Katniss, she’s already a great actress but she seems to have embodied Katniss so well.

ok i thought it was cool and the training room looked a ton like i thought it would! but she im upest that they had her shooting the dummy and only one at that. it would have been even better if she had at least shot the punching bag from far away and the light would have been even better! and no body screamed or fell back or anything! slightly disapointed… :/

Does anyone think it is ironic that the book satirizes our thirst for blood entertainment – even to the point of sending kids to fight to the death and yet here we all are “entertained” by the same concept… (even though it’s fictional, it is kind of a sick idea).
